In 2013, the Humes Japanese Stroll Garden opens to the public every
Friday (new in 2013!), Saturday, and Sunday.
Saturday, April 27, through Sunday, October 27
11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Last admission is at 4 p.m.
Throughout the season, Ikenobo Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) exhibits are on display at the garden.
Shakuchachi (bamboo flute) performances are held from 1 - 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.

Public Tours with Tea Ceremony Demonstration

10 a.m. on select Saturdays

Guided tours for the public are offered together with a demonstration of the tea ceremony on the above Saturdays. Tours begin at 1o a.m. and last about ninety minutes.

Educational Outreach Program Exhibit

Bonsai Society of Greater NY Exhibit

The Bonsai Society of Greater New York will display choice specimens of the Japanese art of bonsai in the garden's kadan.

NYC Chapter Ikenobo Ikebana Exhibit

A special weekend exhibit of the Japanese floral art of ikebana by the New York City chapter of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society, will be on display in the display hut kadan near the tea house.

Summer Exhibit: The Zen Oxherder Parable
